With the hard work of social media expert and well-known host Waqar Zaka, the PTA lifted the ban on PubG.
Waqar Zaka and Technology Movement Pakistan unknowingly took steps to lift the ban on PubG.
Social media expert Waqar Zaka also hosted the world’s first digital sit-in of its kind on social networking site Twitter and for the first time in Pakistan’s history, 4.6 million tweets were sent for any technology.
Waqar Zaka also launched the first Twitter campaign in Pakistan’s history to feed PubG.
Social media experts were also seen doing 6 to 8 hours of live transmission on a daily basis to feed PubG.
It is to be noted that the decision to lift the ban on PubG was taken after talks with the PubG administration. The legal team of PubG met the PTA officials in Islamabad.
During the meeting, a representative of PubG Company briefed the authority on PTA’s objections and informed about the misuse of the platform by PTA.
He also expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the PTA and the management of the pub.
The meeting agreed to set up a mechanism for exchanging information and resolving grievances.
The PTA’s response from PubG has been welcomed.
PubGame has also assured full support to PTA.
PubG had requested for lifting the ban on the game in Pakistan.
In view of the positive attitude of the company, it has been decided to block the game.
